Obrempong Ameyaw Amponsem II: A Legacy of Leadership and Service
I am Obrempon Ameyaw Amponsem II—a devoted family man, visionary traditional ruler, accomplished entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for community development. My life’s journey has been shaped by my deep-rooted values of leadership, service, and the unwavering commitment to my family and people.
Early Life and Education Born and raised in Ghana, I attended Bolgatanga Senior High School, where I completed my secondary education in 1995. Even as a young student, I was actively involved in environmental and agricultural clubs, foreshadowing my future endeavors in landcare and sustainability. My formative years instilled in me a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to create meaningful change in my community.
A Life Built on Family and Tradition Beyond my public roles, I am a proud and dedicated family man, blessed with five wonderful children who inspire me daily. My family is my greatest strength and motivation, grounding me in humility and purpose. As a father, I strive to instill in them the values of integrity, hard work, and service to others—principles that have guided my own life.
Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership My entrepreneurial journey began in 1998 with the founding of Susu King Company, a micro-finance institution that promoted financial literacy and savings culture in Anyima. Recognizing the need for infrastructure development, I also established Adfal FA Construction Ltd, which provided employment for local artisans while delivering quality construction services.
Over the years, I expanded my ventures to include:
- Obrempong-A Money Lending Services (2015-2017) – Offering short-term credit solutions to individuals and small businesses.
- Obrempong Micro-Credit Enterprise (2024-present) – Providing low-interest loans to market women and traders to boost local commerce.
- GG Handicraft Limited (2024-present) – A leading landcare and environmental services company, employing over 30 staff and mentoring youth in sustainable practices.
- OJ Royal Ventures (2025-present) – A diversified firm investing in agriculture and retail, further driving economic growth in the region.
Each of these businesses was built with a dual purpose: to create opportunities for my community and to foster financial independence among Ghana’s youth and entrepreneurs.
Traditional Leadership and Community Service
As the Chief of Anyima in the Kintampo South District, I serve as the custodian of tradition, culture, and progress. My leadership focuses on:
- Land administration and dispute resolution – Ensuring fairness and harmony in community land matters.
- Education and youth empowerment – Sponsoring scholarships and organizing mentorship programs for young entrepreneurs.
- Infrastructure and healthcare advocacy – Championing road rehabilitation, clean water projects, and improved healthcare access.
- Environmental sustainability – Promoting eco-friendly initiatives through my businesses and community projects.
Education and Continuous Growth
Believing in lifelong learning, I earned a Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Oxford Home Study Centre (2025), further refining my ability to lead with vision and strategy.
Achievements and Legacy Among my proudest accomplishments are:
- Creating hundreds of jobs for youth across Ghana.
- Being recognized by the Anyima community for advancing land sustainability and economic empowerment.
- Balancing my roles as a chief, entrepreneur, and family man, proving that leadership begins at home.
My Mission
My mission remains clear: to build a prosperous, sustainable, and united Anyima, where future generations can thrive. Whether through business, tradition, or family, I am committed to leaving a legacy of progress, integrity, and service.
